Born August 16, 1889, in Floyd, White County, Arkansas, John Henry Roberson was known to baseball fans as "Rube Robinson" a label given to him by the press. Roberson played professional baseball from 1908 until 1929 and was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 1962.
